NZFMM 2027 Convention
The NZFMM 2027 Convention is planned for April 16th, 17th, 18th 2027. Note that this is three weeks after Easter. The Convention will be hosted by the Wellington Meccano Club.
Set up: Friday 16th April from 12 noon. Showtime: Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th. Hours yet to be determined.
The Club had hoped to hold the Convention at Te Papa, but the Te Papa management have changed their policy on events, and a Meccano exhibition is no longer considered suitable.
The venue for the Convention is Whirinaki Whare Taonga, Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt. As shown in the map, it is very close to the Upper Hutt city centre.
The hall that has been chosen is an ample size to cater for all our needs.
There is free parking on site as well as across the road.
There is an excellent café on site.
To improve visitor numbers, Lego has been invited, and the club are awaiting a response.
A small registration fee is being considered to assist in covering costs.
A registration form in Google Forms format will be sent out at a later date via email.
